4 Super-Healthy Morning Habits to Jump-Start Your Day


Are you a night-owl or a morning lark? If you’re part of the former, today’s post might make for difficult reading. If you’re part of the latter, on the other hand, we might just have some advice that’ll boost your productivity, fitness, and wellbeing. No matter how you feel about mornings, we can all agree that it’s sometimes tough to prioritise what needs to be done upon waking. That’s where super-healthy habits come in. Want to learn more? #4: Learn to get up early

This habit is probably the trickiest on our list, so we’ll get it out of the way first. The reality is that by waking up just an hour earlier, you can boost your productivity by a surprising factor. There’s usually less activity, fewer distractions, and more chances to focus on work, fitness, or whatever your thing might be. Give it a shot, you might just thank yourself later!

#3: Listen to some motivational tunes

Whether it’s Eye of the Tiger or Worse!, it’s hard to understate how motivational the right soundtrack can be. Once you’re up and about, the right tune can give you the psychological boost you need to hit your day head-on and feel truly pumped up. And we’re not just blowing hot air here: there have been multiple scientific studies that have proven music to reduce stress, lift low mood, and lower anxiety levels.

#2: Stretch out those muscles

There’s a reason that practitioners of tai chi tend to do it first thing in the morning. They understand that getting the body moving is the key to getting the mind moving too. If you really want to be on top of your game, whether that’s at work or at play, a good stretching session each morning can really set you on the right path. Even better, and if you can muster the motivation, a good 5k run will serve you even better. Just make sure you shower afterwards…

#1: Kick-start your daily nutrition
