Protein Shake Reviews

As a vegan on a lookout for any healthy options to go well with my lifestyle I really enjoy the viva sativa shakes. Especially mixed with banana and almond milk smoothie! Best option available for vegans! And very tasty too 🙂

As an IBS sufferer, I often struggle with milk based proteins… I find this plant based blend to be very easy on my stomach – plus unlike other plant based proteins, the Sativa shakes mix well and taste great!

I recommend Viva High Pro which I’ve been using in my preparations for the Miami Pro Fitness Model & Bodybuilding Championships this October. I use it as part of my dietary preparation along with 2 hours in the gym 5 days a week !

I used to think all protein shakes would taste the same. Having now tried a wide variety, I can safely say that not only is that not the case, but that it is hard to find one that is remotely palatable. Hemp is notoriously hard to swallow, but Sativa Shakes have made it entirely drinkable. For people who get easily put off my lumpy or gritty shakes, rest assured that the whole range mixes really easily to a smooth texture. I prefer a slightly higher protein content so my personal choice is the High Pro which has a similar nutritional profile to most powders out there. Both flavours are subtly sweet and don’t taste as artificial as many shakes I have tasted – my personal favourite is Chocolate Caramel. The products are very reasonably priced, especially for hemp, and I believe the ingredients are of a high quality. I always prefer buying from smaller companies when I can, so I will be happy to keep using Sativa Shakes. Read more about Sativa Shakes at Claire’s blog Great Vegan Expectations.
